Rosehip fruit
Rosehip fruit (Rosa canina) have a well-established history in traditional medicine as a preventive measure and to support the body during colds.
Rosehip is one of the herbal raw materials rich in natural vitamin C, which, in combination with anthocyanins, flavonoids, copper and manganese, also contained in its fruit, contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system. Rosehip fruit also contains substances with anti-inflammatory effects.
It is believed that vitamin C contained in fruits is better absorbed by the human body than synthetic ascorbic acid. It is therefore worth reaching for vitamin C from natural sources, i.e. from a balanced diet and herbs. Supplementation with this vitamin will strengthen the immune system and maintain vitality, especially during an infection.

Acerola
Acerola (Malpighia glabra) is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, and additionally contains many other phytonutrients, such as: carotenoids (provitamin A), phenols, anthocyanins and flavonoids, vitamins B1 and B2, niacin, albumin, iron, phosphorus and calcium. Like wild rose, acerola, thanks to its various active ingredients, supports the immune system and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Purple coneflower
Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) has a widely researched and documented positive effect on the immune system in both tests in vitro, What in vivo.
Studies have shown that the active substances contained in the herb and root of purple coneflower have antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects, increase respiratory capacity, have antioxidant effects, stimulate the immune system and stimulate leukocytes to secrete antiviral substances.
In addition, taking echinacea significantly reduces the incidence of colds, and in people already sick, taking echinacea from the beginning of the infection shortens the duration of the cold.

Black Elderberry
Elderberry fruit (Sambucus nigra) have been used in folk medicine for centuries as a means of strengthening the body's immunity and supporting the fight against colds. They contain many valuable bioactive substances such as polyphenols, phenolic acids, anthocyanins and tannins. Thanks to them, black elderberry has a diaphoretic, warming, antipyretic and analgesic effect. In recent years, its antiviral and antibacterial properties have also been discovered, as well as the ability to calm inflammation in the body.
Elderberry preparations may reduce flu-like symptoms, including fever, headache, nasal congestion, and nasal discharge in adults if taken within the first 48 hours of symptoms onset.

Ginger
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a medicinal plant that has been widely used in medicine around the world since ancient times as a means of supporting the body in fighting infections, including by stimulating the immune system or warming up the body.
Ginger root contains a number of volatile oils and oleoresins, as well as important macroelements such as phosphorus, magnesium, potassium. Thanks to them, it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that can have a beneficial effect on the human body during infections. It then lowers fever, helps clear the respiratory tract of retained secretions, soothes coughs, warms the body and has antibacterial effects.

Immunity
The human body has many mechanisms that defend it against the invasion of harmful external factors – pathogens. The most important of them is the immune system, which consists of specialized cells (lymphocytes), tissues and organs. It protects the human body against potentially harmful bacteria, viruses and parasites, and also prevents the penetration of toxins and fights infections.
A person is born with so-called innate immunity, which means they have certain mechanisms that protect against harmful external factors. Additionally, during life, through contact with new pathogens, acquired immunity is created. Thanks to it, the body produces antibodies – characteristic cells specialized to fight a specific pathogen.
Acquired immunity is more specialized than innate immunity, and additionally strengthens and complements the action of innate immunity, which is why it is so important to regularly take care of its efficient functioning and strengthen the immune system in this area. In times when infections spread extremely quickly and on a large scale, building and strengthening the body's immunity is not only a matter of the autumn-winter season. It is worth remembering to properly stimulate it and take care of its efficient functioning every day. Natural immunity supplements containing a composition of plant extracts developed by specialists and tested can help in taking care of the work of the immune system.
How to Strengthen Your Immune System? Helpful Herbs for Immunity
The proper functioning of the immune system is influenced by many factors, both external, such as weather, and internal, responsible for the state of our body. While we have no influence on external factors, we do have influence on internal ones, which is why it is worth:
- Eating healthily and regularly is the basis for strengthening immunity. Fruits and vegetables are the best sources of ingredients necessary for the production of immune system cells.
- Play sports – properly selected, regular physical activity mobilizes the cells of the immune system and leads to an increase in the concentration of lymphocytes responsible for acquired immunity.
- Take care of your sleep hygiene – it has been shown that less than 7 hours of sleep increases susceptibility to infections. Just one day without sleep causes a significant reduction in the number of immune system cells.
- Take care of your mental health – long-term stress leads to lower immunity.
- Dress appropriately for the weather – especially in autumn and spring, when the weather is changeable and capricious.
- In addition to implementing the right nutrients into your daily diet, you can reach for both natural herbs and extracts, as well as ready-made immune supplements that will help restore the most important functions of the immune system.
To support the immune system, it is worth using herbs to strengthen the immune system that:
- they contain ingredients that support the body's immunity, such as vitamin C and antioxidants,
- stimulate the immune system
- have high antioxidant activity and neutralize free radicals in the body,
- have antibacterial and antiviral properties,
- alleviate symptoms of infection,
- strengthen the body's natural protective barrier,
- have anti-inflammatory properties,
- they exhibit warming and diaphoretic properties.
It is important to remember that herbs for immunity can cause side effects, and the reaction to them results from the individual characteristics of the body. It is worth consulting a doctor before introducing them to your daily diet, especially when taking any medications, as they can interact with herbs, posing a threat to health or even life.

Why do Urban Herbs products have low reviews?
🌱 Urban Herbs are new, safe and ecological supplements created by a Polish manufacturer.
⭐ They have only just appeared on the market, so few people have had the opportunity to rate them (you can rate a purchased product).
💚 We would be grateful for your opinion - you will help others make an informed choice and together we will take care of the planet.
I bought it as a gift along with a product for Sleep. Unfortunately, I had to reach for it myself and it worked great at the first signs of infection 🙂
